Tutor with the WVU Academic Resource Centers
The Academic Resource Centers (ARCs) serve current WVU students by providing academic support in multiple subjects at two locations on-campus, Downtown Library ARC and Bennett Tower ARC, as well as virtually via Zoom.
We employ current WVU students that are qualified to provide tutoring service in a variety of subjects, though we have higher demand for tutors in STEM courses. In order to be eligible, a tutor must have earned a minimum grade of ‘B’ or better in the course (‘A’ preferred) to provide tutoring service and an overall GPA of 3.25 or better.
The tutor application requires the unofficial transcript to be uploaded to confirm grades. The application also requires 2 references from professors/ instructors.
We are currently seeking applications for STEM tutors primarily in Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics for the Fall 2021 term.
