The Mountaineer Athletic Club is looking for upbeat, positive individuals to assist us on WVU football home game days in the premium areas of Milan Puskar Stadium. Our game day workers are fun, energetic, and passionate about creating memorable experiences for our Mountaineer fans.
What is the Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC)?
The MAC is the fundraising arm of WVU Athletics overseeing the premium seating and hospitality areas at Milan Puskar Stadium. Game Day Workers will represent not only WVU Athletics but also the Mountaineer Athletic Club.
When would I work?
Game Day Workers are required to work all WVU home football games. There are 6 home games this season, and you will be required to work all 6 games. Please review the following dates and be sure can commit to the entire season. All home games fall on a Saturday this season.
• Sept. 9, Sept. 16, Sept. 23, Oct. 21, Nov. 4, and Nov. 18
How many hours would I work on game day?
This varies from game to game, but you can generally plan to work six (6) to nine (9) hours each game. You will plan to report to the stadium three (3) hours prior to kick off.
How much would I be paid?
Your pay rate is dependent on your position and will range from $12.00 - $14.00 per hour.
Would I get to watch the game?
No, your responsibilities require a high level of service and attentiveness.
POSITIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Suite Greeter – Suite greeters are responsible for welcoming guests and for scanning guests' tickets in and out of the premium areas. Being one of the first game day workers our donors see, suite greeters must be personable, friendly, and be readily available to direct guests and answer their questions. Suite greeters control who has access to the premium areas and help protect the exclusivity of these premium spaces.
Suite Attendant - Hosts between 3 and 6 Suites at Milan Puskar Stadium. Suite Attendants must complete a pregame and postgame checklist each game. They must have a talent for anticipating guests' needs and a drive to go above and beyond service expectations. Suite attendants must be able to communicate well with other game day staff members to ensure proper service in all suites.
Roamers – Responsible for driving our special donors to and from the parking lot and stadium during both pregame and postgame. Roamers are one of the first people donors get to see and talk to before the game starts. When the game kicks off, roamers will begin “breaking” other suite staff members until they are to return to their carts halfway through the 4th quarter. Prior to the start of the season, all roamers will need to go through a golf cart training administered by the WVU Athletic Department.
Field Box Attendant - Responsible for fulfilling guests' beverage orders in anywhere from 2-4 Field Boxes on game days, as well as assisting security with checking tickets. Similarly to a server in a restaurant, field box attendants must always be visible and available for guests and provide excellent customer service to our donors. Field box attendants will be required to stand the duration of the game and walk up and down their designated field boxes’ stairs during each stoppage of play.
Elevator Attendant - Stationed in the press box elevators, elevator attendants are responsible for maintaining the steady flow of transportation for members of the media, coaches for both teams, and our donors.
