Position Title: Federal Work Study “Events Assistant”
Department: Fundamentals of Engineering Program (FEP)
Location: Evansdale Campus, ESB, 1st Floor (above the Atrium/ELC)
Estimated Pay: $10.00 per hour; maximum 28 hpw
Timeline: Ongoing; Fall 2023 & Spring 2024 Evening and weekend hours available periodically

Job Summary Primary duties entail serving as an Events Assistant under the supervision of assigned staff. The Events Assistant provides service to FEP faculty, staff, and graduate students. Assignments have limited use of discretion and judgment. Work is regularly reviewed and may entail detailed instructions. Duties and Responsibilities may include the following…
• Assist with basic administrative functions of an office
• Assist and/or Participate in FEP student support activities, including ENGR FEST, Living/Learning Community (LLC) Events, Theatre Sketch Events, Out of Class Experience (OCEs), Networking, Social, and other events
• Track attendance at events
• Create and post flyers, posters, and special announcements
• Proof FEP weekly newsletter, website, social media accounts, and search for broken links/spelling errors. Notify the Program Coordinator
• Re-Post and Market Social Media Accounts
• Serve as an FEP photographer; store and organize photos electronically
• Constantly keep FEP environment and equipment clean and orderly
• Assist professors with course-related work
• Assist with laboratories (including organizing, cleaning, and setting up/tearing down experiments) • Work proactively and collaboratively with other members of the FEP department
• Deliver and pick up various documents to other campus offices
• Use various internet search engines to conduct various research searches for FEP Faculty & Staff • Other duties as assigned Please use the next two entries to tailor your job
