ESL Teacher, Busan South Korea

Gimhae, Next to Busan.
Starting Date : Late February 2025.
Teaching Date : Mon thru Fri
School Hour : 9:00 Am ~ 6:00 Pm
Student Level : Kindy + Elementary
Salary : 2.6-2.9 million Korean won a month plus housing.
Vacation days : 11 days plus National Holidays.
Housing : One room furnished or Housing Allowance

ESL teacher responsibilities

  1. Native English Speaker. Teach English language skills to non-native speakers, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  2. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of individual students.
  3. Assess student progress through regular quizzes, tests, and assignments.
  4. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.
  5. Create a positive learning environment that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
  6. Use a variety of teaching methods, materials, and technology to engage students and enhance their learning.
  7. Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and development.
  8. Attend professional development workshops and conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and technologies.
  9. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  10. Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress and provide guidance on how they can support their child's learning.



     

ESL teacher required skills

  1. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  2. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse students and learning styles.
  5. Experience with technology and the use of educational software and online tools.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  7. Creativity and innovation in teaching methods and materials.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  2. TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) or TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification.
  3. Previous teaching experience, preferably in an ESL or EFL context.
  4. Fluency in English and proficiency in one or more additional languages is an asset.
  5. Knowledge of the culture and customs of the students' home countries is desirable.
  6. Native English Speaker from Canada, USA, South Africa, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand.   Bachelors Degree, Notarised and Apostilled.
  7. National Background Check Apostilled.
