CU Denver’s Office of Information Technology is an organization dedicated to providing opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience while pursuing their education. We are seeking motivated students to join our team for the Fall and Spring semesters.

Job Overview:

Lab Advisors play a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance for our students of our OIT managed computer labs. Under the guidance of the Computer Lab Team Lead, Lab Advisors help ensure the smooth functioning of the lab and provide excellent customer service to university students, faculty, and staff. Please note, this position is 100% onsite and will require badge access into multiple campus buildings.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Assist lab users with technical issues related to computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Provide guidance and support to users on lab policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the computer lab environment to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with lab rules.
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of lab equipment, including troubleshooting and basic repairs.
  • Collaborate with the computer lab Team Lead and other lab staff to address user needs and concerns.
  • Assist with the scheduling of lab activities and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Computer Lab Team Lead.

Who Should Apply:

  • Current enrollment as a student on the Auraria campus.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable and responsible, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in a customer service or technical support role is a plus.

Job Details:

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours: 15-25 hours per week

Pay: $18.29/hour
